He says selenium is an important micronutrient. But like many others, too much of a good thing can be bad. He suggests consumers should follow a nutritionally balanced diet to prevent chronic diseases such as cancer and diabetes.


So concludes a report that shows a group of people taking selenium supplements had an increased take up of Type II Diabetes, compared to those in the control group that tool placebos.
